Ohio EPA Construction Storm Water Permit Public Outreach Session
November 17, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Northeast Ohio Storm Water Training Council announces the following opportunity to learn more about proposed changes to Ohio EPA’s requirements for storm water controls on development sites: Ohio EPA Construction Storm Water Permit Public Outreach Session
When: November 17, 2017
Time: 10 am – Noon or 1 pm – 3 pm
Where: Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy
Event Description: Storm water runoff from new development or redevelopment where the larger common plan of development or sale disturbs 1 or more acre of land is regulated under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program administered by Ohio EPA. The NPDES permit that sets the current requirements is set to expire on April 20, 2018. Ohio EPA is proposing changes to the requirements for permanent (post-construction) storm water control measures for both new development and redevelopment scenarios for the next generation of the NPDES permit. This session will allow you to learn about the proposed changes, why they are being proposed and how this will affect development planning on your projects and in your community. Attendees will be given a chance to ask questions of Ohio EPA’s senior program management about the proposed changes and express any concerns they may have. Two sessions will be offered for your convenience. You only need to attend one.
Who Should Attend: City and County Engineers, Project Engineers, Developers, Home Builders, MS4 Program Administrators for the construction and post-construction minimum control measure, Planning Commissioners, Building Officials, General Contractors
