City Clean-up & Watershed Festival October 7, 2017

Many thank you’s to all of this year’s partners and collaborators for a successful event celebrating our watershed! Over 100 stormwater decals were placed on residential streets, dozens of bags of trash were removed from the city, and about 150 trees were given away to residents. If you have any pictures from the day, be sure to send them our way!

About the Event

TCWP and the City of Twinsburg are teaming up to bring you a joint day of watershed education and stewardship!

The clean-up teams will start from the Community Center. Once you’ve done your good deed, come over the street to the Public Works department for the festival!

Booths will have demonstrations, games, and information will be right in front of the Dodge school. Overflow parking along the service drive and at public works is permissible.

Hikes will commence from the trail head right behind the school, meet at the pavilion. Waste water treatment plant tours will commence from the service department building, meet right outside the building.

The event’s partners will make sure you leave this event as a watershed steward! Win a rain gauge at our trivia game, learn how to install a rain barrel and get credit towards your stormwater fee, and check out what the garden club and Metroparks do for our community.

The first 100 attendees will receive a free tree to take home and plant! All trees will be native to the area, and we’ll help you choose just the right one for where you’ll be planting it. Each tree comes with instructions on how to plant and maintain. These trees are available through a grant with ACTrees and our partners at the Cuyahoga River Restoration.

Thank you to this year’s partners!
