volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program 2025
Interested in the environment and sustainability initiatives? Become a water quality monitoring volunteer for Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners (TCWP) and contribute to “community science” data collection that helps to monitor the Great Lakes region!
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! TCWP staff will provide hands-on training for all volunteers on sampling, use of equipment, and data sheets.
WHAT: Volunteers will collect and test freshwater samples along sections of Tinker’s Creek or Brandywine Creek.
WHERE: 17 water quality monitoring sites located along Tinker’s Creek and Brandywine Creek. Most sampling days include visiting 3 sites, but a few are 5 sites. This link shows locations for each site to plan what locations work for you. WQM Sites 2025
WHEN: Sampling occurs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays spanning two weeks of each month (May – October). Sampling begins at 9am and concludes no later than 12pm each day. You may sign up for days/times that work with your schedule now. Click on this link to sign-up for days/times for 2025.
