International Day of Forests

The International Day of Forests was established on the 21st day of March, by resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on November 28, 2012. Each year, various events celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests, and trees outside forests, for the benefit of current and future generations. Invasive Plants Removal: Garlic Mustard

Help native habitat thrive by removing garlic mustard with us again! Last year we removed 223 lbs... lets see how much we can remove this year! This event will be located at the Hemlock Creek Picnic Area in the Bedford Reservation. Learn how to identify garlic mustard and how to carefully remove it to reduce seed spread. Come prepared to carefully go off trail with closed toe shoes, long sleeves, and pants. Gloves will be provided. Registration coming soon.
