Sandy Barbic has lived in Summit County for almost 40 years, originally coming to Ohio from New York State. She graduated from Kent State University in 2006 with a BS in Biology Conservation. From 2007 she was the Education Specialist for Summit Soil and Water Conservation District until her retirement in 2025. She has also worked at Harthfeed Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary assistant. While at KSU she worked in the herbarium and the greenhouse. Sandy was a longterm Board Member for Tinker’s Creek, and has been given the title of Emeritus Member to honor her service.
