In 2008, TCWP created the Ohio Stormwater Conference, an event where state and regional professionals gather to share innovative practices, cutting edge technology, and collaborate with one another on various ways to protect and restore water quality. Now in its tenth year, the conference has grown to become a premier stormwater and watershed conference, where dedicated professionals attend in order to advance their knowledge and understanding of comprehensive stormwater and watershed management in the fields of planning, design, implementation, and regulatory compliance. The 2016 conference had a record-setting 820 attendees, 95 exhibitors, and over 80 speakers from all over the United States.
A highly anticipated segment of the annual conference is the silent auction. We rely heavily on stakeholders such as you to support our mission. Our silent auction fundraiser at this event will help us to raise money to support our mission as well as help us to provide a variety of services to our watershed. All of the proceeds from this event will be used to educate our communities including businesses, school aged children and residents, provide on-the-ground public projects, and leverage additional funding to achieve our vision of clean water, healthy habitats, and engaged communities in the Tinker’s Creek watershed.
The 2017 Ohio Stormwater Conference will be held May 10-12 at the Kalahari Resort Conference Center in Sandusky, and it is expected to have a record number of attendees. Your generous donation will not only help us support our mission, but it is a wonderful way of marketing your business or organization to the attendees at this year’s conference. Recognition of all donor support will be advertised on signage posted next to donated items, as well as on the Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners and Ohio Stormwater Conference websites.
