Hope is a graduate of Ohio University and the University of Akron School of Law. Hope has spent more than 25 years as an attorney for local government. She has served as a prosecutor, Assistant Law Director and Deputy Law Director for the city of Cuyahoga Falls, Assistant Law Director for the City of Beachwood, and is currently the Law Director for the City of Kent. She understands the importance of the Cuyahoga River and its tributaries to northeastern Ohio communities. While in the Falls, Hope worked with the City administration to achieve the successful removal of two dams on the Cuyahoga and the resolution of combined sewer overflow in the City. The Cuyahoga Falls stretch of the ‘crooked river’ is on its way back to being healthier than it has been in a century.
