Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners was awarded a Great Lakes Restoration grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Funds were used to restore in-stream habitat to a historically channelized portion of Tinker’s Creek, plant native species along its banks, remove invasive species, and restore natural flow.
This will restore natural flow to 3,100 linear ft. of stream to Tinker’s Creek Watershed. We are excited about this project and its potential with the help of such great partners in the Ohio EPA, Summit Metro Parks, and EnviroScience.
Join us for a roadside clean up and tour of our Hudson Tenbroeck project site! Help clean up litter and trash safely along the roadside and then learn more about our project with EnviroScience and how it will help Tinker’s Creek!
Bags, gloves, safety gear are provided. Please dress for the weather. Wear long sleeves and pants, boots and work gloves are recommended. Children under 18 must have adult supervision.
