This spring, we lost a great friend, colleague, and member of our watershed family. Stacey Faile passed away on May 13, 2021.
Stacey was born on April 5, 1978 in Akron. She is a 1996 graduate of Cuyahoga Heights High School and 2000 graduate of The University of Toledo with a BS in Civil Engineering. She became an Ohio certified Professional Engineer in 2006 and was a MS Candidate in Water Resources Engineering at Cleveland State University. Stacey worked for OHM Advisors as the Northeast Ohio lead of their Environmental & Water Resources Group and previously as a Project Engineer for AECOM and Metcalf & Eddy.
Stacey had an infectious personality, a passion for life, and endless positive energy. She loved to socialize, play volleyball, hike, bike, exercise, animals, natural health, local foods, and more than anything to vacation. Her favorite thing was relaxing on a beach.
She volunteered for many organizations. She was a Board member for the Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners and always helped out whenever needed.
We have created a scholarship fund to honor Stacey. Donations to this fund will support the next generation of environmental scientists and environmental engineers to make a positive impact on Northeast Ohio.
Please consider donating to this fund in honor of a special person who touched so many. Donation can be made through our main donation button at the top left of our home page, just note in the special instructions that this is for the Stacey Faile Memorial Fund.
